FRONT DESK - RECEPTIONIST

MATERNITY RELIEF – 1 YEAR CONTRACT

PART- TIME AND/OR FULL TIME

Responsibilities

  • Provide high level custom service and hospitality to clients
  • Assist the Management in daily tasks and projects
  • Complete all weekly reporting and analysis
  • Maintain a positive attitude and take initiative
  • Provide support to Management to ensure a successful check-in and check-out process
  • Work as a cohesive team with all Coolbawn Quay staff members to ensure efficiency and
  • camaraderie
  • Assist with the training and coaching of new hires and trainees for the front desk staff team
  • Maintain the distinct CBQ aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere and culture

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Must have weekend, holiday and some early morning/late evening weekday availability
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must be willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
  • Must have outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
  • Must have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Must have a friendly and professional phone and email etiquette
  • Must have superior organizational skills
  • Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule

JUNIOR FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER

FULL TIME

Through a positive, motivated and constructive style, the Junior Front of House Manager will provide the leadership and vision necessary to ensure that day to day operations at CBQ run smoothly and efficiently, with a warm and friendly attitude, to enhance the guest’s experience. The suitable person will have a sense of ownership over the resort as if they are looking after guests in their own home and ensure the warm, welcoming and friendly culture that is part of CBQ is maintained at all times

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level of customer service and exceptional hospitality to all clients, handling client issues and concerns in a positive and timely manner
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager in all ‘front of house’ areas: Reception;
  • Clubhouse & Bar; Spa; Conference Rooms; and The Pavilion.
  • Coordinate on the implementation of standard operational policies and procedures designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organisation
  • Train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate all staff, creating and maintaining a team that is highly personable, client-orientated and committed to achieving and exceeding goals.
  • Maintain CBQ’s distinct culture and community sense.

Requirements

  • Prior managerial and/or leadership experience
  • Academic qualification within the Catering/Hospitality profession.
  • Experience in hospitality, luxury brand retail or health & fitness a plus
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and service-oriented outlook
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members, clients and senior management
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the resort and its growth
  • Ability to work flexible/non-traditional hours (including weekends)

INTERNSHIPS & WORK PLACEMENTS

At Coolbawn Quay we are proud to offer internships and work placements for those who want to experience aspects of the hospitality industry within a boutique, destination, resort. We offer fixed term positions for both internships and work placements. While the emphasis is on learning, we provide opportunities to work as an integral part of the business and recongnise the valuable contributions that are made to the successful running of our team.

Internships are offered for three months in the following teams:

  • Sales & Marketing
  • Social Media & PR
  • Hospitality

Placements are offered for six months, also in the above areas.
