Part of the magic of a wedding at Coolbawn Quay(CBQ) is having our entire accommodation filled with family and friends. CBQ can become your very own private and exclusive village making the occasion intimately personal and unique. Relaxed rustic comfort is the mood with guests staying in beautiful suites, village rooms and charming cottages scattered along meandering streets and leafy lanes. Many Wedding Parties stay with us for two nights, enjoying a barbecue at the Clubhouse as a pre or post wedding event. There is something for everyone to enjoy at CBQ to chill and relax: blissful thereapies at te Spa; local forest walks; a spot of fishing in the lake; and we can help in arranging activities such as a cruise, water adventure sports or a round of golf.

marquee weddings
Wedding Receptions for up to 200 guests are hosted in a beautiful marquee set on the shores of the lake. Fully carpeted and heated throughout with that fairytale feel of softly draped ivory linings, we offer a choice of colour mood for backdrops depending on your theme.
Tables have full length cream cloths and are adorned with flower arrangement and tea lights. The marquee has a hardwood dance floor, luxurious lounge area with comfortable sofas, reflective mirrors and mood lighting. One side is made entirely of glass giving a spacious and airy feeling leading to outdoor decking with seating and offering glorious views out over the private marina to the lake beyond.

schoolhouse weddings
Smaller more intimate wedding receptions are hosted in the Schoolhouse. Situated in the heart of Coolbawn Quay overlooking the Village Green, the Schoolhouse offers a quaint and charming setting for a party celebration or intimate wedding.
With high ceilings and dimmed pendant lights the mood is calm casting shadows on the shimmering silk drapes. The Schoolhouse has large windows overlooking a decked area leading to the village green. Weddings in the Schoolhouse are available throughout the year but restricted to midweek during the summer months.
