SUMMER/AUTUMN 2010 WINTER WEDDINGS & PRIVATE PARTIES Use our Schoolhouse for your private party or special celebration - up to 50 guests in intimate, luxurious and private surroundings Wedding Receptions at Coolbawn Quay are held in our luxury lakeshore marquee set on the shores of Lough Derg. The semi-permanent marquee can accommodate up to 200 guests. Smaller, more intimate weddings are hosted in our Schoolhouse. At Coolbawn Quay we usually host one wedding per weekend, and one or two midweek, so whatever day you choose, the village can be exclusively yours, there will be no feeling of having to rush away for the next group to come in. You can relax and truly enjoy your time with us. It also means that we concentrate entirely on your event, and on making it as magical as it should be. The marquee, which is solid in structure complete with underfloor heating and full insulation, is fully carpetted and has a luxurious lounge area and a dance floor. One side is made entirely of glass, giving a spacious and airy feeling, with outdoor decking and seating area, and glorious views out over the private marina to the lake beyond. Our luxury marquee wedding package includes: - Drinks Reception on Arrival - 2 glasses of Sparkling Wine per guest with Canapes Everything you need from arrival right through to the end of the day. This fully inclusive luxury package is available from €110 per person, and varies depending on the day of the week and time of the year.
SMALL INTIMATE WEDDINGS Over the winter months we host small, intimate weddings and private parties in our Schoolhouse, which can seat up to 50 guests. Situated in the middle of he village overlooking the village green, the Schoolhouse offers a quaint and charming setting for a close family wedding, or special celebration. The Schoolhouse enjoys natural daylight, and, with its own private bar and dancefloor, offers you and your guests the perfect setting for an intimate and private celebration. The Wedding Village Part of the magic of a wedding at Coolbawn Quay is having the entire village of lakeshore suites, village rooms and cosy cottages filled with your family and friends. You can have your own private wedding village which is entirely yours for your wedding day. Many bridal parties stay on for a second night, enjoying a relaxed barbecue the next day or evening before, and we can help with arranging activities, such as a Cruise of the Shannon, for your guests.
