Exit at Junction 26 of the M7
Follow the link road N52 towards Borrisokane, going through a series of roundabouts
At the last roundabout, Borrisokane Road Roundabout, take the first exit, N52 towards Borrisokane
After approx 600metres, take slip road on left onto Lake Drive Route, R493 for Ballinderry and Puckane
Continue along the Lake Drive Route, passing through the villages of Puckan and Coolbaun (pink shop on right hand side, now closed). Continue straight for a further 3.5km approx.
Entrance to Coolbawn Quay is on your left.

After passing through Loughrea, take the N65 on your right to Portumna.
Stay on the N65 through Portumna across the river Shannon and on towards Borrisokane.
At the village of Carrigahorig, turn right at the Half Door Bar onto Lough Derg Drive -R493
Continue through the villages of Terryglass and Ballinderry.
Entrance to Coolbawn Quay is on your right approx 5km after Ballinderry village
